As far as I'm concern, I'm proud of my gear!
Although to some, well really just a minority it seems like I have pretty basic ones but it has been serving me well so far and it'll definitely serve me even better in the days to come. And frankly, I think Sony has the best gears and this is not because I am using an alpha but it is the truth!
Come on, with the big N and the big C giants, how else could they compete with the best kit lens that is offered when our range is more versatile compared to theirs. True that their lenses are cheaper in comparison to ours, but in terms of quality, I think with the Zeiss coating we Sony lenses rule over them!
And just to make it clear, this is just my personal opinion...
True that Sony is really new in the DSLR market, but look at how they have progressed in just a few years. Truth be told, we would not know what would happen in the future but with things progressing as they are, I dare say that Sony could be on par with N and C pretty much soon but who knows right.
I have faith in what I use but lets get on with it..
Currently, I use the Sony Alpha A-200 body with SAL18-70mm f3.5-5.6 kit lens, the Minolta 50mm f1.7 and the HVL-F42AM flash gun. Very basic I know but it is suffice for now. Although I do envy some who has the financial capabilities to get better lenses but as for myself, I think that some time spent on learning and dealing with what we have is the best way to learn rather then to simply jump straight on to a better lens.
But who knows right!
Haha but really, the next lens that I would love to have is the SAL18-250 f3.5-6.3 lens which covers basically everything I need. From a wide range to a telephoto, it could last me for a very long time.
Anybody wants to sponsor me? hehe
