Concerts have always been one of my favorite places to be as well and the last big one was the Sunburst Music Festival in Bukit Kiara and previously, Avril Lavigne and yes I went!!!<br /><br />I love concerts ok!<br /><br /><center><a href="http://www.flickr.com/photos/royalshortness/3409129485/" title="DSC00580 by Royalshortness, on Flickr"><img src="http://farm4.static.flickr.com/3303/3409129485_df42c6e0d1.jpg" alt="DSC00580" width="500" height="334" /></a></center></div><span style="font-family: times new roman;font-size:78%;" >Sunburst 09, photos will be up soon yo!</span><br /><div style="text-align: justify; font-family: times new roman;"><br />Well the biggest disappointment was that Coldplay came and went to Singapore and I was too poor to have gone and damn you all for always going to Singapore hmph! Well, that is a totally different topic already haha but what I do enjoy most when there are no international celebrities in the country is definitely our very own, homegrown music!<br /><br />Yup, our local indie acts!<br /><br /><center><a href="http://www.flickr.com/photos/royalshortness/3409933618/" title="DSC06269 by Royalshortness, on Flickr"><img src="http://farm4.static.flickr.com/3610/3409933618_56b99f8f0b.jpg" alt="DSC06269" width="327" height="500" /></a></center><br />There are really many local indie acts that can be said to be on par with international acts and of course friends they may be to me and I do not consider them as celebrities, but to others they are and I don't think I understand what I just said haha.<br /><br /><center><a href="http://www.flickr.com/photos/royalshortness/3409932112/" title="DSC00890 by Royalshortness, on Flickr"><img src="http://farm4.static.flickr.com/3379/3409932112_945b039f8f.jpg" alt="DSC00890" width="323" height="500" /></a></center><br />From bands such as Silent Scenery, Brokenscar, An Honest Mistake, Estrella, Hujan, Estranged, Car Crash Hearts to even old schools ones like Too Phat, Poetic Ammo, Butterfingers, Pop Shuvit, John's Mistress and Juliet the Orange, I heart every single one of their songs!<br /><br /><center><a href="http://www.flickr.com/photos/royalshortness/3409934728/" title="DSC06214 by Royalshortness, on Flickr"><img src="http://farm4.static.flickr.com/3561/3409934728_1e744d42a8.jpg" alt="DSC06214" width="327" height="500" /></a></center><br />True enough they may not dress like a celebrity, they are too friendly compared to other 'international acts' but that is what makes a true celebrity because, friendliness and just treating both friends as well as fans the same is what makes them true celebrities. Our country's local acts are a pretty small group, where everybody knows everybody but with an increasing amount of fans and slowly breaking into the international scene like Estrella whom is currently touring Europe now and Pop Shuvit who have performed in Japan and opened for My Chemical Romance in Malaysia and in the Phillipines.<br /><br /><center><a href="http://www.flickr.com/photos/royalshortness/3409931866/" title="n712082532_1810188_844 by Royalshortness, on Flickr"><img src="http://farm4.static.flickr.com/3353/3409931866_f483130550.jpg" alt="n712082532_1810188_844" width="341" height="500" /></a></center><br />So that's why, I have taken it a point to dress like our local acts which is pretty normal in others eyes, but an awesome tribute instead! Or how about plain old boyband looking haha! Or maybe, you will be seeing me in something different on that day, who knows hehe...<br /><br />And if you are looking up for some last minute shopping for costumes and such, do check this out:<br /><br /><center><a href="http://www.flickr.com/photos/royalshortness/3409953982/" title="3398423196_2b0c938e56_o by Royalshortness, on Flickr"><img src="http://farm4.static.flickr.com/3634/3409953982_7e4c4389b6.jpg" width="500" height="331" alt="3398423196_2b0c938e56_o" /></a></center><br />Do check out Absolute Pitch located at Summit USJ, Subang Jaya just right above Starbucks where they have an awesome collection of costumes available and also they are the only one able to customize your costume just for you. I have always been a very big fan of zouk even before I was legal to enter the premises but alas, of course I had to wait till I was 21 before I enter. Wasn't really my favourite of the 3 due to the awesome cheese dip but for meat lovers, this could definitely be your thing!<br /><br /><center><a href="http://www.flickr.com/photos/royalshortness/3395886666/" title="DSC02313 by Royalshortness, on Flickr"><img src="http://farm4.static.flickr.com/3639/3395886666_4d86d23356.jpg" alt="DSC02313" width="334" height="500" /></a></center><div style="text-align: center;"><span style="font-size:78%;">Frontera Nachos</span><br /></div><br />And as if our tables was not already filled with chips, we were then served with Frontera Nachos which did not look like <a class="zem_slink" href="http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Nachos" title="Nachos" rel="wikipedia">nachos</a> to me at first and here I was stoning at the table wondering what it was while trying to take pictures of it!<br /><br />Geek nature calls first before brains haha!<br /><br />Topped with cheese first, a slice of chilli and for it's garnishing, some tomatoes and lettuce it is certainly something different from the usual nachos that I am served with at other restaurants oh, and a pretty good finger food too. It is a pretty satisfying appertizer and I loved it, anything on cheese goes well with me haha!<br /><br /><center><a href="http://www.flickr.com/photos/royalshortness/3395876670/" title="DSC02307 by Royalshortness, on Flickr"><img src="http://farm4.static.flickr.com/3561/3395876670_7fe533d8e6.jpg" alt="DSC02307" width="334" height="500" /></a></center><div style="text-align: center;"><span style="font-size:78%;">Taquitos de Pollo</span><br /></div><br />The Taquitos de Pollo came shortly after the nachos which looked really similiar to kuih kapet if you have seen it before haha but it's a totally different thing. Truth is, this wasn't really my favorite appetizer of the lot although it contains the Frontera chicken and was wrapped with corn tortillas, it didn't exactly do much for me as I could barely taste the chicken.<br /><br /><center><a href="http://www.flickr.com/photos/royalshortness/3395881868/" title="DSC02310 by Royalshortness, on Flickr"><img src="http://farm4.static.flickr.com/3567/3395881868_75542ae8f7.jpg" alt="DSC02310" width="334" height="500" /></a></center><div style="text-align: center;"><span style="font-size:78%;">Habanero Chicken Wings</span><br /></div><br />Now the Habanero Chicken Wings, that is something to talk about. Once it was down on the table, everybody was trying to have a go at it but not before I took some pictures haha! Served with some habanero BBQ sauce and cilantro <a class="zem_slink" href="http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Ranch_dressing" title="Ranch dressing" rel="wikipedia">ranch dressing</a>, the wings literally melted in my mouth and damn myself for being a photographer as I could not dirty my hands with more wings or rather, I'm just really nice that way and I let everybody have a go at it haha!<br /><br /><center><a href="http://www.flickr.com/photos/royalshortness/3395085639/" title="DSC02319 by Royalshortness, on Flickr"><img src="http://farm4.static.flickr.com/3553/3395085639_0656929187.jpg" alt="DSC02319" width="334" height="500" /></a></center><div style="text-align: center;"><span style="font-size:78%;">Chimichanga</span> <span style="font-size:78%;">(Choice of Beef/Chicken)</span></div><br />The Chimichanga arrived next together with the Tex Mex Burrito and boy did both look the same to me and the only difference between the twi is the the Burrito is not fried and the Chimichanga is. The taco is filled with either a choice of seasoned beef or shredded chicken and I guess you can't really take my word for it because since it is of course my taste and who knows, you might like it when I don't.<br /><br /><center><a href="http://www.flickr.com/photos/royalshortness/3395081237/" title="DSC02318 by Royalshortness, on Flickr"><img src="http://farm4.static.flickr.com/3638/3395081237_0fff100c7b.jpg" alt="DSC02318" width="334" height="500" /></a></center><div style="text-align: center;"><span style="font-size:78%;">Tacos (Choice of Beef/Chicken)<br /></span></div><br />With even more dishes filling up the table, we really thought that this could be our last supper because we were presented with a feast next with many different types of main dish and boy was the table seriously full to the brim!<br /><br /><center><a href="http://www.flickr.com/photos/royalshortness/3395902074/" title="DSC02323 by Royalshortness, on Flickr"><img src="http://farm4.static.flickr.com/3467/3395902074_e66e7715a9.jpg" alt="DSC02323" width="334" height="500" /></a></center><div style="text-align: center;"><span style="font-size:78%;">Frontera Beef Ribs</span><br /></div><br />The Frontera Beef Ribs is said to be the best beef ribs so far by the usuals but to tell you the truth, I can never tell when it comes to ribs. I'm just never in-tuned haha for ribs and although it was tender and juicy and being especially light and really well prepared, the mash potatoe caught my eye because I am a huge fan of mash potatoes haha, sorry Larry lol.<br /><br /><center><a href="http://www.flickr.com/photos/royalshortness/3395970814/" title="IMG_6923 by Royalshortness, on Flickr"><img src="http://farm4.static.flickr.com/3625/3395970814_734eac183d.jpg" alt="IMG_6923" width="500" height="333" /></a></center><div style="text-align: center;"><span style="font-size:78%;">Cajun Fish and Chips</span><br /></div><br />Cajun Fish and Chips was also pretty ordinary due to the fact that it's pretty much the same everywhere and also, it could be your safest bet to dining if you're not feeling adventurous because with fish and chips, what can really go wrong?<br /><br /><center><a href="http://www.flickr.com/photos/royalshortness/3395911070/" title="DSC02328 by Royalshortness, on Flickr"><img src="http://farm4.static.flickr.com/3589/3395911070_7f3d3297ca.jpg" alt="DSC02328" width="334" height="500" /></a></center><div style="text-align: center;"><span style="font-size:78%;">Chili Cheese Burger (Beef)<br /></span></div><br />But what comes next was my second favorite dish of the night, the Chili Cheese Burger which comes with either a choice of beef or chicken and comes with it is real meaty tastes! I am a huge fan of burgers and when I tell you that Frontera has the best burgers around, you better believe it! The Chicken Ranch Sandwhich was the ultimate favorite among the burgers by which with it's tender meat being so juicy and tasting so good, you will in fact want more and this is real because I am really, a beef fan more than chicken and to my surprise, the Chicken Ranch Sandwhich tops the beef burger by a whopping 10 times more on my scale of awesomeness!<br /><br /><center><a href="http://www.flickr.com/photos/royalshortness/3395107843/" title="DSC02332 by Royalshortness, on Flickr"><img src="http://farm4.static.flickr.com/3544/3395107843_816bc11513.jpg" alt="DSC02332" width="334" height="500" /></a></center><div style="text-align: center;"><span style="font-size:78%;">Chicken Ranch Sandwhich<br /></span></div><br />Life is great and I can die happy already....<br /><br /><center><a href="http://www.flickr.com/photos/royalshortness/3395976516/" title="DSC00201 by Royalshortness, on Flickr"><img src="http://farm4.static.flickr.com/3466/3395976516_bbbb514b13.jpg" alt="DSC00201" width="323" height="500" /></a></center><br />Dining here can really be a fun time and when it comes to the late night drinking sessions, be entertained by the legendary Margarita-making Machine as you witness him whoop you some drinks and if you do head down over there, take my advice!<br /><br /><center><a href="http://www.flickr.com/photos/royalshortness/3395983640/" title="IMG_6937 by Royalshortness, on Flickr"><img src="http://farm4.static.flickr.com/3460/3395983640_524b44884b.jpg" alt="IMG_6937" width="333" height="500" /></a></center><div style="text-align: center;"><span style="font-size:78%;">Must try - Patron XO Cafe</span><br /></div><br />You have got to try the Patron XO Cafe because I had never tasted a coffee based alchohol so good in my life and if I'm not mistaken, you can't get this anywhere else unless you import it yourself! Reason? Well, I'm a guy, and yes most guys couldn't really care less about <a class="zem_slink" href="http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Skin" title="Skin" rel="wikipedia">skin care</a>, especially on their face. Heck all I ever do for my face is use some facial wash everytime I bath and just wash it off just like that. I'm surprised that my face is still awesome till now haha!<br /><br />Oh well, thank god for my baby face hehe....<br /><br /><center><a href="http://www.flickr.com/photos/royalshortness/3364542495/" title="DSC05648 by Royalshortness, on Flickr"><img src="http://farm4.static.flickr.com/3423/3364542495_2145c2bfc5.jpg" width="500" height="370" alt="DSC05648" /></a></center><br />We were first given a brief introduction of <a class="zem_slink" href="http://www.biotherm.com/index.html" title="Biotherm" rel="homepage">Biotherm</a> and how it came about and as well as teaching us how skin care is important and boy was I feeling noobish. I never did knew that there was so many types of skin care formulas that caters to different types of skin, I didn't even know that there was actually 3 steps to washing your face....<br /><br />Certainly did come as a shocker to me, especially since I'm lazy haha!<br /><br /><center><a href="http://www.flickr.com/photos/royalshortness/3364542739/" title="DSC05668 by Royalshortness, on Flickr"><img src="http://farm4.static.flickr.com/3427/3364542739_40f8947820.jpg" width="500" height="370" alt="DSC05668" /></a></center><br />Eunice then gave us a test on our skin to see how it fares and guess what, I've got the healthiest skin among the gang with an overall of 84% and yes I see Kel Li and Jen being jealous and roar-ing about hahahaha! Apart from that, the tester also gave me some tips on how to improve my skin condition and being a noob, I listened attentively.<br /><br /><center><a href="http://www.flickr.com/photos/royalshortness/3364542211/" title="DSC05639 by Royalshortness, on Flickr"><img src="http://farm4.static.flickr.com/3639/3364542211_c0a7241c65.jpg" width="500" height="370" alt="DSC05639" /></a></center><br />At the end of the day, it was really educating seeing that there was much I didn't know about and much to see, and of course feeling awesome about myself hehe and not only that, Eunice presented us with some goodie bags containing biotherm products!<br /><br />Thanks Eunice, you're awesome as well haha!<br /><br /><center><a href="http://www.flickr.com/photos/royalshortness/3365365412/" title="DSC05687 by Royalshortness, on Flickr"><img src="http://farm4.static.flickr.com/3573/3365365412_209667da3f.jpg" width="327" height="500" alt="DSC05687" /></a></center><br />At the moment, I'm still trying out the product and I'll have to wait and see how it goes. So anyways, recently I was invited by the Joanne, the owner of <a style="font-weight: bold;" href="http://www.cupcakechic.com.my/">Cupcake Chic</a>, to sample some of their new recipes and these aren't out yet. So yummeh is my middle name, and free food is totally my game! If you did not know where is Cupcake Chic, it is located in The Curve, Mutiara Damansara, just directly opposite of IKEA which I'm sure most of you would know.<br /><br /><center><a href="http://www.flickr.com/photos/royalshortness/3270415435/" title="DSC04749 by Royalshortness, on Flickr"><img src="http://farm4.static.flickr.com/3535/3270415435_9765b69fc1.jpg" alt="DSC04749" width="500" height="370" /></a></center> <div style="text-align: center;"><span style="font-size:78%;">The good people of Cupcake Chic</span><br /></div><br />So myself and the usuals arrived there, being greeted by Joanne and of course the picture takings always starts right after arriving, ain't we efficient haha! We were offered drinks from the shop with a choice of anything but recommendations came from Joanne that the best drink that compliments cupcakes would have to be Ice Mocha.<br /><br />So all of us ordered that, except for Aaron cause he can't take his caffeine haha!<br /><br /><center><a href="http://www.flickr.com/photos/royalshortness/3271235848/" title="DSC04748 by Royalshortness, on Flickr"><img src="http://farm4.static.flickr.com/3524/3271235848_aa7db62fde.jpg" alt="DSC04748" width="500" height="370" /></a></center><br />And of we go, downing each cupcakes one by one, well in order of course and seriously, I didn't know cupcakes were really that filling but more on that later haha!<br /><br /><center><a href="http://www.flickr.com/photos/royalshortness/3271234626/" title="DSC04702 by Royalshortness, on Flickr"><img src="http://farm4.static.flickr.com/3524/3271234626_bf51333314.jpg" alt="DSC04702" width="327" height="500" /></a></center><br />First up was my favourite of all the flavours we tried, the Blackforest cupcake. As delicious as the cake itself, it is a light cherry chocolate cake with whipped cream frosting right on top of it. So in other words, it's like a mini cake in a cup, hence cupcake! Haha ok that was lame but anyways. Not only is this particular one delicious on the outside, inside as well there is a surprise ingredient packed right in the center of the cupcake.<br /><br />But of course, you'll have to try it to know hehe.<br /><br /><center><a href="http://www.flickr.com/photos/royalshortness/3271234846/" title="DSC04711 by Royalshortness, on Flickr"><img src="http://farm4.static.flickr.com/3448/3271234846_595f8cc3ee.jpg" alt="DSC04711" width="327" height="500" /></a></center><br />Jaffa cupcake was up next which looked kind of weird at first, but don't judge a book by its cover. It's packed with heavily induced orange flavour and just two of this will make your baby purr, I mean stomach. Being heavily packed and really sweet, it's like smarties but in a bigger and cake form!<br /><br />If you love smarties, you gotta have a try at these!<br /><br /><center><a href="http://www.flickr.com/photos/royalshortness/3270415095/" title="DSC04731 by Royalshortness, on Flickr"><img src="http://farm4.static.flickr.com/3516/3270415095_2e5721ebca.jpg" alt="DSC04731" width="327" height="500" /></a></center><br />The Tiramisu was my second favourite. Two of my favourite things in a small cup, cheese and coffee yum! A classic cake being sized down and packed in a cup was a dream come true. Not to mention at a much cheaper price to compared to the usual Tiramisu cakes that I have somewhere not too cheap. How should I describe this cupcake, legendary and heavenly lol!<br /><br />Oh and somehow, I tasted a bit of vanilla as well or was it just me hehe...<br /><br /><center><a href="http://www.flickr.com/photos/royalshortness/3270414425/" title="DSC04714 by Royalshortness, on Flickr"><img src="http://farm4.static.flickr.com/3490/3270414425_31543f6539.jpg" alt="DSC04714" width="327" height="500" /></a></center><br />Blueberry Crumble was the fourth cupcake and if you are a health freak, then indulge yourself in this. Trust me, it ain't a sin because this cupcake is so healthy, it tastes just like healthbars and I like because healthbars used to be my favourite snack back in college. Made from oats crumble infused with blueberries in it, it's sinfull to not try it even once.<br /><br /><center><a href="http://www.flickr.com/photos/royalshortness/3271286410/" title="DSC04744 by Royalshortness, on Flickr"><img src="http://farm4.static.flickr.com/3513/3271286410_54bb6ef363.jpg" alt="DSC04744" width="327" height="500" /></a></center><br />As a snack in-between even more snacks, we were surprised and served with biscotti's and guess what, these aren't your everyday normal biscotti's. These baby's were made from cupcakes and boy I was surprised as well. Being made from cupcakes, these biscotti's were rather nice to crunch on as it wasn't that hard compared to your normal one.<br /><br />And I really wanted more of it!<br /><br /><center><a href="http://www.flickr.com/photos/royalshortness/3271235228/" title="DSC04716 by Royalshortness, on Flickr"><img src="http://farm4.static.flickr.com/3400/3271235228_1e8e000f2a.jpg" alt="DSC04716" width="323" height="500" /></a></center><br />And finally, we have the Lemon Meringue by which I initially thought that the top of the cupcake was actually made with marshmellows but instead, it is actually egg whites or meringue which makes it lighter and at the same time as chewy as marshmellows. In fact, there wasn't really any sour taste of lemon lingerring which makes it an all-time favourite for all lemon lovers out there.<br /><br /><center><a href="http://www.flickr.com/photos/royalshortness/3271236130/" title="DSC04786 by Royalshortness, on Flickr"><img src="http://farm4.static.flickr.com/3511/3271236130_08374823c3.jpg" alt="DSC04786" width="500" height="370" /></a></center><br />The next time you're in the area, why not give everything a miss and just head on straight down to Cupcake Chic just to chill, relax and hang-out. With some nice ambience coupled with friendly workers, what can go wrong. Also available are some other wide varieties of other cupcake flavours to choose from, where everyday they'll have different flavours whiped out just to suit your taste.<br /><br /><center><a href="http://www.flickr.com/photos/royalshortness/3271234396/" title="DSC04685 by Royalshortness, on Flickr"><img src="http://farm4.static.flickr.com/3411/3271234396_bd047c7cb5.jpg" alt="DSC04685" width="327" height="500" /></a></center><br />Also check out their <a style="font-weight: bold;" href="http://www.facebook.com/pages/Cupcake-Chic/6453647229?sid=efd35996edf05acc40c8c6d4f45c17bf&ref=s">facebook fanpage</a> to get the latest news on the happenings of Cupcake Chic and a little bird also told me that in March, there will be new promotions just for the fans. I love music, and I mean all types of music. I have tons of songs from all different types of genres from all over. From English, to Japanese, and to even Indonesian songs ranging from pop, rock, hip-hop, rap rock, trance and definitely house music is a must have, oh and some classicals as well.<br /><br />Heck, you're talking to a guy who even listens to Mozart and Tsaikovsky while doing his assignment wtf!<br /><br /><center><a href="http://www.flickr.com/photos/royalshortness/3252719831/" title="DSC00739 by Royalshortness, on Flickr"><img src="http://farm4.static.flickr.com/3130/3252719831_e71a48ede4.jpg" alt="DSC00739" width="327" height="500" /></a></center><br />But enough of that.TOKL On the Up has again wow-ed me with interesting lineups in January with the first act, <a style="font-weight: bold;" href="http://www.myspace.com/2storeyheart">2StoreyHeart</a>. Heads up first, his songs are a bit emo so for those who can't take it, it ain't for you. He's a bit on the light side with a rough voice coupled with just an acoustic guitar. At times he did encounter some off-pitch moments but overall, me being a quite a bit of an emo fan find it ok although his vocals could have been better.<br /><br />But still, loving the emo guitar playing hehe!<br /><br /><center><a href="http://www.flickr.com/photos/royalshortness/3252720537/" title="DSC00926 by Royalshortness, on Flickr"><img src="http://farm4.static.flickr.com/3397/3252720537_b8665545ed.jpg" alt="DSC00926" width="327" height="500" /></a></center><br />Secondly, a bit of some hyped-up moment yo cause <a style="font-weight: bold;" href="http://www.myspace.com/brokenscarmusic">Brokenscar</a> is back with some old and new tunes to hit us up! Kevin has just came back from Aussie and he gave us a bang of our lives, entertaining us with some antics as well as some old-school rock, kind of like Fallout Boy-ish and I like! It's a love and hate relationship, really. You either love it, or you hate it and these are the type of songs that I truly love.<br /><br />Glad to have Brokenscar back rocking KL one more time!<br /><br /><center><a href="http://www.flickr.com/photos/royalshortness/3253548684/" title="DSC01246 by Royalshortness, on Flickr"><img src="http://farm4.static.flickr.com/3131/3253548684_2cce686291.jpg" alt="DSC01246" width="327" height="500" /></a></center><br />Izzy Mohamed was the third one up and man, her songs were totally my type of songs. It's a bit Colby Caillat-ish with a mixture of <a style="font-weight: bold;" href="http://www.emilianatorrini.com/">Emiliana Torrini</a> in it, well I'm sure most of you wouldn't know who that is but I like!<br /><br /><center><a href="http://www.flickr.com/photos/royalshortness/3253549018/" title="DSC01233 by Royalshortness, on Flickr"><img src="http://farm4.static.flickr.com/3348/3253549018_4fc8feb47d.jpg" alt="DSC01233" width="500" height="370" /></a></center><br />Halfway through her set, she brought up her entire team and with that, it gave us the best of both worlds where it was a great set with a mixture of everything in it and if you are interested, check her out at her <a style="font-weight: bold;" href="http://www.myspace.com/izzymohamed">myspace</a>.<br /><br />Hmmm I think somehow, I have the hots for chicks that plays acoustic guitars haha!<br /><br /><center><a href="http://www.flickr.com/photos/royalshortness/3252723421/" title="DSC01269 by Royalshortness, on Flickr"><img src="http://farm4.static.flickr.com/3364/3252723421_b0c45f883a.jpg" alt="DSC01269" width="327" height="500" /></a></center><br />Last but not least, <a style="font-weight: bold;" href="http://www.myspace.com/bandaffair">Secret Love Affair</a> was up and they ended the night awesomely. Although I'm really not a big fan of their vocals, gotta love their music though. Seriously if they would just focus on their music and make their band an instrumental one, it would hit off just right. Vocal's are a bit rough and soft and somehow it doesn't really go along with the music that they play.<br /><br />But still, am loving the music that they play lol!!!<br /><br /><center><a href="http://www.flickr.com/photos/royalshortness/3253545698/" title="DSC00722 by Royalshortness, on Flickr"><img src="http://farm4.static.flickr.com/3302/3253545698_74e36458f2.jpg" alt="DSC00722" width="327" height="500" /></a></center> <div style="text-align: center;"><span style="font-size:78%;">Loving it alot yo!</span><br /></div><br />Anyways, I just can't wait for the next On the Up in February, be sure to check back on when it's on. But before that, introductions are of course necessary. ‘Rumours’ is the name of the restaurant and in Desa Sri Hartamas it is located, fusion is the theme of the food and calm & soothing is the ambiance of the restaurant.<br /><br /><center><a href="http://www.flickr.com/photos/royalshortness/3219867143/" title="DSC03630 by Royalshortness, on Flickr"><img src="http://farm4.static.flickr.com/3362/3219867143_b0fbddc01f.jpg" alt="DSC03630" height="388" width="500" /></a></center><div style="text-align: center;"><span style="font-size:78%;">The inside of the restaurant</span><br /></div><br />And of course a big thank you to Melissa and to Rumours as well for the invitation.<br /><br />With Malik detailing every possible dish and fine winery, certainly the review was made easier, not to mention being allowed in the kitchen to witness Chef V in action really made us understand better in the preparations of the food and probably a sense of the inner workings of cooking, but shall we get started on the dishes hehe!<br /><br />Darn mouth watering hor….<br /><br /><center><a href="http://www.flickr.com/photos/royalshortness/3219108007/" title="DSC09089 by Royalshortness, on Flickr"><img src="http://farm4.static.flickr.com/3265/3219108007_f759b4577c.jpg" alt="DSC09089" height="500" width="327" /></a></center><br />The first dish, being a Chinese New Year menu definitely has to be the Lou Sang but with a bit more modern twisted into it. Instead of the usual Salmon bundled together with normal Lou Sang’s, Rumours offers a selection of White Tuna, and if you are instead more used to the traditional Lou Sang, Salmon is also offered as well.<br /><br />The Lou Sang was different from how restaurants usually serve them, well in terms taste lah. Usually Lou Sang’s have a pretty strong taste in them, my guess is from the usage of Salmon because, by replacing the Salmon with fresh slices of White Tuna, not only did it reduce the strong taste but also added a bit of different flavor to the dish.<br /><br />If you are a lover of Pomelo’s, rejoice! For the dish also contains pomelo’s haha!<br /><br /><center><a href="http://www.flickr.com/photos/royalshortness/3219958508/" title="DSC09107 by Royalshortness, on Flickr"><img src="http://farm4.static.flickr.com/3304/3219958508_779c84f25e.jpg" alt="DSC09107" height="370" width="500" /></a></center><br />The second dish was the Ginger Chicken Consomme Soup, a genre of food that Chinese New Year has to have. Soup I mean, not the type of soup haha and surprisingly, I really liked the soup since I am really not a big fan of ginger soups. You can barely smell the ginger, which sometimes is a good thing but be cautioned though, it is peppery so if you can’t take much pepper, best to drink some only.<br /><br />But iz nice so must finish all! Hahahaha<br /><br /><center><a href="http://www.flickr.com/photos/royalshortness/3219109991/" title="DSC09183 by Royalshortness, on Flickr"><img src="http://farm4.static.flickr.com/3099/3219109991_84d6b226d7.jpg" alt="DSC09183" height="370" width="500" /></a></center><div style="text-align: center;"><span style="font-size:78%;">Commercial break to show you the backscenes, idea from Jen hehe!</span><br /></div><br />Well the third dish or shall I say dishes in the menu is actually an option of 3 types of dishes to choose from, The Braised Beef Tenderloin in Chinese BBQ Sauce, Pan Fried Five Spiced Duck Breast and the Steam White Cod with Plum Sauce.<br /><br /><center><a href="http://www.flickr.com/photos/royalshortness/3219109185/" title="DSC09122 by Royalshortness, on Flickr"><img src="http://farm4.static.flickr.com/3509/3219109185_6594fd3336.jpg" alt="DSC09122" height="500" width="327" /></a></center><br />The Beef Tenderloin was really really tender kthxbai.<br /><br />Hahaha I’m kidding, but it was really tender, pun definitely intended and with BBQ sauce being served with the beef, it somehow compliments it, somehow branching out from the usual black pepper sauce or even mushroom sauce. Thumbs up for creativity, two thumbs up because I love beef haha!<br /><br /><center><a href="http://www.flickr.com/photos/royalshortness/3219108525/" title="DSC09115 by Royalshortness, on Flickr"><img src="http://farm4.static.flickr.com/3088/3219108525_87ddc99d80.jpg" alt="DSC09115" height="370" width="500" /></a></center><br />The Pan Fried Five Spice Duck Breast was errr soft and bouncy in a good way? And I really mean that because usually duck meats are a bit tough but this was the first time I tasted a really tender and soft duck meat, with butter rice coupled with the meat makes it a one of a kind type of dish, especially when served as a Chinese New Year dish.<br /><br /><center><a href="http://www.flickr.com/photos/royalshortness/3219108855/" title="DSC09118 by Royalshortness, on Flickr"><img src="http://farm4.static.flickr.com/3115/3219108855_df8ddbbf70.jpg" alt="DSC09118" height="500" width="327" /></a></center><br />Finally, the Steam White Cod with Plum Sauce was my favorite and surprisingly, it was because those that are really close to me knows how much I dislike fish, and I mean all types of fish.<br /><br />Yes, I’m like that haha!<br /><br />But really, this being my favorite among all 3 certainly does say something about the dish. Who would imagine plum sauce can go so well with cod fish and I say that because I never tried or seen it before so you don’t have to say I live under a coconut shell because I DO live under a coconut shell haha.<br /><br />The fish was cooked just nice and also is served with butter rice. Oh, bear in mind that all 3 dishes are served with butter rice, with brown rice used and the butter was filled with herbs, making it pretty healthy.<br /><br />And finally, the desert!<br /><br /><center><a href="http://www.flickr.com/photos/royalshortness/3219109593/" title="DSC09126 by Royalshortness, on Flickr"><img src="http://farm4.static.flickr.com/3356/3219109593_74bcd9ecff.jpg" alt="DSC09126" height="500" width="327" /></a></center><br />Sometimes I don’t even know whether I am Chinese or not because I dislike Chinese deserts. None! Zilch! But from the picture above, aren’t you surprised at how different it looks like because I know we were when we were at first introduced to the Red Bean Pancake with Sesame Ice-cream & Fruits.<br /><br />Very different, very original, and surprisingly I’m ok with it. Heck I’m still not a big fan of red beans and if I say that I’m ok with it, to normal people it is considered awesome! Fruits colored the dish all around it, and the sesame ice cream added an extra flavor to the dish.<br /><br /><center><a href="http://www.flickr.com/photos/royalshortness/3219107461/" title="DSC09072 by Royalshortness, on Flickr"><img src="http://farm4.static.flickr.com/3374/3219107461_ec1e061cf8.jpg" alt="DSC09072" height="500" width="327" /></a></center><br />With some really light music coupled with a cozy and calm surrounding, exquisite winery collection to tickle the wine lovers taste buds, this is one restaurant one would not love to miss, especially the food lovers.<br /><br /><center><a href="http://www.flickr.com/photos/royalshortness/3219107779/" title="DSC09073 by Royalshortness, on Flickr"><img src="http://farm4.static.flickr.com/3102/3219107779_4283004167.jpg" alt="DSC09073" height="500" width="327" /></a></center><div style="text-align: center;"><span style="font-size:78%;">Jen gives the one wine up hehe</span><br /></div><br />Priced at RM168+ for 4 pax, RM336+ for 8 pax and RM488 for 12 pax, Rumours Chinese New Year Special is definitely something to look forward to if you are looking for something different this Chinese New Year and is available from now till 9 February 2009.<br /><br /><br />24, Jalan 28/70A Desa Sri Hartamas,<br />50480 Kuala Lumpur.<br />(block behind Souled Out, same row at Silveridge)<br />For reservations, please call : 603 2300 6650</div>David Cheonghttp://www.blogger.com/profile/05625101167974871054noreply@blogger.com41tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-22302295.post-27490790911126950002009-01-22T18:48:00.005+08:002009-01-24T00:56:21.612+08:00Are you You:nique?<div style="text-align: justify; font-family: times new roman;">Well I like to think I am haha!<br /><br /><center><a href="http://www.flickr.com/photos/royalshortness/3219761041/" title="DSC04259 by Royalshortness, on Flickr"><img src="http://farm4.static.flickr.com/3329/3219761041_ace6d5d93f.jpg" alt="DSC04259" width="327" height="500" /></a></center><div style="text-align: center;"><span style="font-size:78%;">It was held in HQnine, TTDI Plaza</span><br /></div><br />That’s cause recently, I was invited to a special preview of an all new, never before seen (well to myself lah) type of credit card which really did caught my attention. And I ain’t the type for credit cards either!<br /><br /><center><a href="http://www.flickr.com/photos/royalshortness/3219834343/" title="DSC04229 by Royalshortness, on Flickr"><img src="http://farm4.static.flickr.com/3368/3219834343_5699c76482.jpg" alt="DSC04229" width="500" height="370" /></a></center><div style="text-align: center;"><span style="font-size:78%;">Robb being his naughty self haha!</span><br /></div><br />Even for myself, I only have one credit card and that also is for petrol payments only, damn sad case right haha. But anyways, yeah as I was saying, the credit card preview featured an all new credit card introduced by the very same people whom brought you all-sorts of innovative products such as their ATM cum Debit card, Alliance Bank.<br /><br />Get this ok!<br /><br /><center><a href="http://www.flickr.com/photos/royalshortness/3220685810/" title="1 by Royalshortness, on Flickr"><img src="http://farm4.static.flickr.com/3327/3220685810_21fe3d18cc_o.jpg" alt="1" width="576" height="219" /></a></center><br />This <a style="font-weight: bold;" href="http://www.alliancebank.com.my/younique">You:nique</a> credit card, allows users, meaning you, you and you to personalize your very own credit card, including choosing different kinds of packages to go along with your own preferences. Now how cool is that? Meaning, Alliance Bank allows me to create almost any type of background design that I would want to use on the credit card and isn’t that a good enough reason to even simply own a credit card?<br /><br />For example, you could personalize your card to have a picture of your favorite DJ of all time,<br /><br /><center><a href="http://www.flickr.com/photos/royalshortness/3220685874/" title="2 by Royalshortness, on Flickr"><img src="http://farm4.static.flickr.com/3077/3220685874_a78a614465_o.jpg" alt="2" width="362" height="241" /></a></center><br />Or even, a picture of you and your friends cam-whoring<br /><br /><center><a href="http://www.flickr.com/photos/royalshortness/3220685938/" title="3 by Royalshortness, on Flickr"><img src="http://farm4.static.flickr.com/3320/3220685938_72897062f6_o.jpg" alt="3" width="362" height="240" /></a></center><br />And of course, let’s not forget the nature lovers too eh?<br /><br /><center><a href="http://www.flickr.com/photos/royalshortness/3219833745/" title="4 by Royalshortness, on Flickr"><img src="http://farm4.static.flickr.com/3469/3219833745_4ed29b0517_o.jpg" alt="4" width="362" height="240" /></a></center><div style="text-align: center;"><span style="font-size:78%;">Well if you are one lah hehe!</span><br /></div><br />Actually from what I have learned from the event, to sign up is actually pretty simple where you have to first submit your application form and when it is approved, simple guidelines to create your card design is provided all the way from Step 1 itself. However, not every image is acceptable for the design of the card as do bear in mind that any image deemed inappropriate or offensive is not approvable to be created for example:<br /><br />1. Something obscene – wanna share it, share it with me haha<br />2. Something offensive – nobody likes do be offended and neither do you!<br />3. Well I think you got the gist of it.<br /><br />Or if you still don’t get it, something like this definitely cannot lah!!<br /><br /><center><a href="http://www.flickr.com/photos/royalshortness/3220686194/" title="5 by Royalshortness, on Flickr"><img src="http://farm4.static.flickr.com/3435/3220686194_6d931133c3_o.jpg" alt="5" width="362" height="240" /></a></center><br />Now I’m thinking whether should I have censored that or not haha!<br /><br /><center><a href="http://www.flickr.com/photos/royalshortness/3220686270/" title="6 by Royalshortness, on Flickr"><img src="http://farm4.static.flickr.com/3457/3220686270_801c2d3d27_o.jpg" alt="6" width="458" height="275" /></a></center><br />Oh by the way, I did mention about packages right? Well Alliance Bank offers 3 different types of schemes to choose from, and because of that, credit cards appears to not burden anymore when you can select either the ‘Great Rebates, Great Rates or even Great Rewards’ programme to suit your needs.<br /><br /><span style="font-weight: bold;">Great Rebates</span> = Cash rebates of up to 2% for ALL retail purchases for the cheapness in all of us, meaning ME!<br /><br /><span style="font-weight: bold;">Great Rates</span> = A flat finance charge of ONLY 9% per annum for the poor and definitely meaning me…..<br /><br /><span style="font-weight: bold;">Great Rewards</span> = 2X reward points for ALL local and overseas purchases for the greedy and that is just so me sigh…<br /><br />If only I could choose all 3…..<br /><br />Oh well, you can’t win them all. For more information, do check out their website <a style="font-weight: bold;" href="http://www.alliancebank.com.my/younique">here</a> and of course, start applying lah….<br /></div>David Cheonghttp://www.blogger.com/profile/05625101167974871054noreply@blogger.com0tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-22302295.post-77339582077409903292009-01-19T14:55:00.003+08:002009-01-19T15:06:29.218+08:00We can has Yatz birthday<div style="text-align: justify; font-family: times new roman;">in Zouk KL yo!!!!<br /><br /><center><a href="http://www.flickr.com/photos/royalshortness/3209239810/" title="flyer-blog by Royalshortness, on Flickr"><img src="http://farm4.static.flickr.com/3116/3209239810_9e3ec1f5c6.jpg" alt="flyer-blog" width="405" height="500" /></a></center><br />Awesome much? You see, almost everybody has <a href="http://www.facebook.com/"><span style="font-weight: bold;">facebook</span></a> these days and with the popularity of it growing more and more, people who first seem doubtful of it even began embracing it as I’ve seen many of my friends whom aren’t really the type to surfs the so-called ‘social networking’ sites signing up on Facebook.<br /><br />And because of that, I’m always in touch with many of my friends, both new and old.<br /><br /><center><a href="http://www.flickr.com/photos/royalshortness/3066393844/" title="DSC03371 by Royalshortness, on Flickr"><img src="http://farm4.static.flickr.com/3174/3066393844_f992e85778.jpg" alt="DSC03371" width="500" height="388" /></a></center><br /> In the mere mention of new friends, yes I have met people from social networking sites before and thankfully enough, most of them are really nice people and are really very friendly while most would perceive making friends online aren’t such a good idea.<br /><br />But let’s leave that aside shall we….<br /><br /><center><a href="http://www.flickr.com/photos/royalshortness/3066393694/" title="DSC03350 by Royalshortness, on Flickr"><img src="http://farm4.static.flickr.com/3240/3066393694_0779de406f.jpg" alt="DSC03350" width="323" height="500" /></a></center><br /> Apart from the many friends I have on my Facebook, I have or rather I think I have succumbed to the mere satisfaction of self entertainment to just add a couple of non-tangible form of ‘friends’ which by all means is meant to satisfy my inner desire to get things the cheap way and none of this is pointing to sex no matter how you look at it.<br /><br />Yes I’m super duper cheap and I love bargains and free stuffs!<br /><br /><a onblur="try {parent.deselectBloggerImageGracefully();} catch(e) {}" href="http://4.bp.blogspot.com/_DT3_V0NP5s8/SWaud-_QSEI/AAAAAAAAD0Q/GbYX4n34WSU/s1600-h/n1246224228_229874_1418.jpg"><img style="margin: 0px auto 10px; display: block; text-align: center; cursor: pointer; width: 240px; height: 320px;" src="http://4.bp.blogspot.com/_DT3_V0NP5s8/SWaud-_QSEI/AAAAAAAAD0Q/GbYX4n34WSU/s320/n1246224228_229874_1418.jpg" alt="" id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5289106642540972098" border="0" /></a><br /> And because of that, I’m proud to say that I have ‘<a style="font-weight: bold;" href="http://www.zoukclub.com.my/">Zouk Malaysia</a>’ on my friends list wtf. Yes, you heard me right and I am lucky enough to say that once I'm friends with Zouk Malaysia, loads of benefits awaits me haha because it already counts as a membership into Zouk Malaysia's club. Yeah that's right, starting this year, anybody who adds Zouk Malaysia as a friend on facebook will already be on its guestlist and considered a member of the club already.<br /><br /><center><a href="http://www.flickr.com/photos/royalshortness/3066393434/" title="DSC03316 by Royalshortness, on Flickr"><img src="http://farm4.static.flickr.com/3246/3066393434_3fa3e1bc4d.jpg" alt="DSC03316" width="500" height="388" /></a></center><br />From what I have derived from it's page, these are what it has to offer:<br /><br />- FREE BIRTHDAY PARTIES THAT COMES WITH 6 JUGS OF VODKA/WHISKY, TABLE RESERVATION & GUEST LIST!
